Samenvatting
Adelina is een Malfetto. Iemand die de vreselijke ziekte in het land heeft overleefd. Ze zit in de gevangenis wegens moord. Maar dan komt ze bij de groep Young Elites, nog meer Malfetto's bij elkaar.
Mijn mening
Na het lezen van de Legend trilogie was ik er helemaal klaar voor. Een nieuwe serie van Marie Lu. Ik had er voor het lezen al heel veel zin is. Wat als dit nog beter is dan Legend? Legend vond ik al heel goed dus moet je nagaan hoe The Young Elites moet zijn.
Ik wil jullie niet spoileren maar die plottwisten die Marie Lu gebruikt zijn ongekend. Ik heb tot nu toe in vier boeken van haar er nog niet een zien aankomen. Ik had even vijf minuten voor mijzelf nodig om te realiseren wat er nou eigenlijk gebeurd was.
Het verhaal is zo goed! In tegenstelling tot Legend heb je een hoofdpersoon. Adelina is een sterk persoon. Maar net als in Legend heb je wisselende perspectieven. I love it! Ik dacht oh nee geen wisselende perspectieven maar dit pakte gewoon zo goed uit!
Op naar het tweede boek in de serie! Tot oktober dus.
