Samenvatting

Alyssa denkt dat ze gek wordt, net als haar moeder. Ze kan alle insecten en planten horen praten. Ze besluit om naar Wonderland te gaan en hier voor eens en altijd een einde aan te maken. Samen met Jeb maakt ze de reis. Maar Wonderland blijkt niet zo te zijn als in de boeken van Lewis Caroll beschreven staat.

Mijn mening

Hoe kan ik het beste Splintered omschrijven? Jeetje zeg ik weet het niet. Het hele boek was gestoord. Ik heb de boeken van Lewis Caroll gelezen en dan las ik Splintered. Niks is wat het lijkt. Wonderland lijkt wel wel gek. 

Ik ben gevallen voor de cover. Wat een beauty. Het verhaal is op zijn eigen gekke manier ook prachtig. De cover past heel goed bij het verhaal. Het geeft de zelfde rare gekke uitstraling die het boek ook heeft.

Alyssa kan op een gegeven moment niet verder zonder dat ze Jeb achterlaat. Het is een opoffering maar Jeb herinnert zich dan niks meer van Wonderland en alles wat er gebeurt is. Mijn hart brak toen ik dit las maar tegen het einde van het boek kwam alles gelukkig weer goed.

Ik las Splintered niet zo snel als ik gedacht had. Hij was in best wel moeilijk Engels geschreven voor mij, ik moest regelmatig even stoppen omdat ik er echt alle aandacht bij moest houden. Ik vind het wel jammer maar het verhaal daarin tegen is gewoon weg geweldig.
